My potatoes which we have planted in tubs and put in the greenhouse have become very leggy. Should I cut the stalks down to prevent weather damage. They are now outside.

Hi Jacqueline and welcome to GoY, don't cut the stems back the plant needs these to feed and produce your potatoes. If you can add more soil to the container until you have filled to the top.
When growing potatoes in containers you fill to container about 1/3rd full of soil. plant your potatoes and then cover with soil. As the tops grow you keep covering until the container is full. I wouldn't personally start potatoes off in a greenhouse - to warm for them.
