hi all, apple storage question i had a great crop of different varieties, eating and cooking apples this year, with some going bad recently, i have successfully stored carrots and beetroot in sand and thought came to me would sand or peat moss work with apples. has anyone tried this before . thanks for future answers

I wouldn't recommend storing your apples in sand, they need air around them get hold of some of the flats the apples come in from your local supermarket and lay the apples out in these - preferably the compressed card/paper ones. Check out the RHS advice
