My cucumber plants have huge leaves, should some of them be cut off?

Removing leaves from cucumber plants is not necessary. I only remove a few to give developing fruit more space and light. Fruits need the leaves to bring them sugars and other essential nutrients.

I have never seen my gramma cut leaves off of cukes. I would just leave them be myself. unless the cukes underneath are getting moldy...
