my 5 yr old apple tree grew leaves no blossom then all leaves dropped pff and now tree dead no roots what happened

If an apple tree has no roots then it could be that they have rotted away. This would happen if it was planted in ground that is often wet.

Aside from the fact it is dead? Could be any number of causes... lack of water, too much water, it is not normal for a tree to lose its roots. Can you post again explaining a little more please
