Arugula being eaten - and not by me!!
Asked on 29 May, 2008
I have jusstarted growing my first veggie garden and my arugula is being eaten almost faster than it can grow. The problem is a little black bug, about the size of a pinhead - they are coverinthe plants in droves. I am reluctant to use chemicals - is there an organic solution?

Try washing them off with water and washing up liquid, in a spray bottle. You might have to do this several times. Alternatively, if you can bear it, run your finger and thumb up the stems and leaves and 'squish' them!
