Harvesting onions

I have grown onions from sets and the tops, although still green, have bent over and are lying on the ground. Are these ready for harvesting or will they grow anymore?

If the tops have gone over then you can harvest. Personally I'd wait until it was a little drier... Remember to lay the onions out somewhere cool and dry so that they can dry off. Use any with wide necks fairly soon and either plait or put the others into a sack once try to store. They'll keep for a hew months but not for the length of time that farm grown onions do as these are specially dried.
