we have just started a allotment in 2010 we had a good crop the only thing we feld on was something ate are broad beans, what we want to no is we have a good crop of winter onions coming on do we have to cover them because of frost thank you for your help. Valerie Yeovil.

As you are in Yeovil which is in Somerset it should be OK Valerie, light hoeing on dry days will keep weeds down and stop the ground from getting waterlogged.
