Can I move a 6 year old Cordyline safely, if so, when

I have two Cordylines, one is bronze that still has a single head and the other has green/cream striped leaves and the head has split into three

On plant Australis (Sundance)

Nigel, autumn or winter are always the best seasons to move trees or shrubs or plants. When these become dormant or semi dormant. When you do, cut them back, as I think it will take less strength outof the plant. Cordylines respond wonderfully to pruning and your single head will then turn into at least 3 heads and grow on and on, making it bushy rather than one long stemmed plant. Where are you going to move them to? The green variety certainly doesn't like full sun, the bronze one I am not sure of. Red ones can stay in the sun. But they look stunning in little groups too.
Good luck with the transplanting later on.
