Primula japonica Apple Blossom

Primula japonica Apple Blossom (Primula japonica)

I moved a couple of drumstick Primula into this spot in the spring - I wondered why one of them failed to flower!

...ha ha...it tricked you! I do like these candelabra primulas, but the foliage is awful...it needs to be hidden by other things as you have it here. :)

I do try hide the foliage Karen - these later ones are not so bad but the Drumsticks just get humungous!
Lady's Mantle does the job perfectly but not everyone likes to grow that. I don't mind it and I don't find it seeds itself here (yet).

I do love Alchemilla, and it's great for hiding things!

The planting is lovely. I do also like your posts and trellis.

Thanks Alan - that's the other makeover I've been doing this spring. I'm saving the reveal for when I've some flowers on the trellis. It's like waiting for the kettle to boil!
