These 2 Bearded Iris are Historics, i.e. Very old and no idea of the names. The purple is probably like the original Germanica type.

Siris, great news, my yellow one like this had a flower opening today :-). It is quite short like you say, I remember you saying unnamed, it's lovely, I will post a pic next week.
