It doesn't look like my climber is going to grow this year, it is not showing little buds of growth is this normal. I have had the plant 2 years now.

This is a semi-evergreen or evergreen climber, to 20 feet tall. Leaves are slender, ovate to lancolate, shiny, deep green, to 2 inches long. Flowers are fragrant, pure white with yellow anthers, to 1 inch wide, held in axillary and terminal corymbs to 3 inches across, and borne in summer and fall. Fruit is black and ovoid. Native to Brazil. Protect from frost.
IMPORTANT INFO : Fruit may cause severe stomach upset if eaten.

Grows for me even on clay (except for one very wet winter when it perished)

Current height 2008 - 20 inches
Expected height - 12ft
Habit - Semi-evergreen climber. White flowers from July to October. Foliage is green with yellow variegation on edges.
Garden placement - along back garden fencing between lilac variety and ceanothus hedging.
Personal notes - take cuttings in summer to autumn.
