It's always great to see the first ones coming out. Spring is almost real, but where I live it's gone jolly cold again. The weather keeps changing.

Is Jetfire the one with the orange trumpet against the yellow petals?

Yes Maple - Jetfire does have an orange trumpet against the yellow petals, which should be swept back a bit - see Majeekahead for a good photo of what it looks like in its prime.

It is nice to see Spring flowers blooming in your yard. We still have lots of snow on the ground and very cold temperatures here in Minnesota.

'Jet Fire'
Being fairly new to gardening, my wife and I first saw this at the Royal Caley Spring Show in Edinburgh in 2007. We loved both how delicate this tough flower looked and theslightly swept back sepals. So, we have planted quite a few throughout the garden in Autumn 2007 and look forward to the spring display. Daffodils just blow my mind - when things disappear I am never convinced they will actually reappear - yet daffodils keep doing it. Every year. Just amazing.
planted in the cottage garden bed, lemon yellow reflexed petals and long trumpet quite tall approx 18" flower mid feb.
early/mid spring flowering daff, 2" accross flowers with strongly relflexed golden yellow perianth segments and long bright orange trumpets, which fade in bright sun. approx 8" high.
the first of these to put in an appearence is on the edge of the trellis/left hand beds - late feb 2008!
