The'architectural' border.

The'architectural' border.

It isn't really, it just has rather large plants and shrubs in it! I've moved the 'ball' feature there as I didn't like it where it was.

Thank you - that's Cistus on the left, it has bright pink flowers in early summer. The middle one is a Kerria - I had a fight with it a few weeks ago and attacked all the dead stems. I won - but with some scratches and a huge pile of dead branches to clear up! Have you ever had to do this job?

The most evil rose in the world is called 'Mermaid' and althoughit's a pretty pale yellow, it catches me every time! It's on the fence at the back of this border and I have to try to tie it back each year.

I have pulled out the dead leaves, yes. And the Cortaderia. Not sure which one is worse! The leaves have to be thrown onto the grass and oh! what a mess to clear up! Oops! I forgot to feed them. :-(
