Thanks ...I have been collecting Swarosky for years, but I dont know whats going to happen tpo it all in the future, because kids today dont collect anything, and none of them have expressed a desire for this lot

Well I would like to think so.....as long as I can still "do" stuff for myself. and Jacque the kids are all grown up with kids of their own. And you and Toto are very sweet...........

I know what you mean about the kids not being interested Milky , I collect Lalique glass figures and they are not interested , I,m not even sure that they have looked at them . shame isn,t it :o(

It is a shame Amy...I have got all my Mums Royal Doulton figurines and my Crystal and Ray has collected stamps [1st day covers] for 50 years and the kids will just get rid of............

You never know Milky.....you kids might change as they get older.
I have concerns over all my family history information and research. My kids aren't interested at all right now....I'm hoping that as they get more mature someone will be. I'm putting a stipulation in my will that says if they don't want it then the information should be donated somewhere where it won't be lost.....A family history society maybe??

What is all this. Who cares what the kids do? They will be the losers. I love my kids and grandkids dearly, but if they don't want to remember the past and the happy memories that we shared then that's up to them. I know in my heart that when the time comes they will reflect on what's important and hopefully remember us for what we were. I hope they can treasure those things that mean so much to us but if they don't, that will be their choice. I just hope they remember with affection, the years that were spent together. Mere chatels are of earthly origin and of no great importance. Let's all get on with, and enjoy what we have. Here endeth the most boring sermon you have ever heard. Sorry.

Milky your collection is beautiful especially the blue crystal but then blue is my favourite colour..

I know what you mean about the kids not wanting your collections.Some of my older friends have already been told by their kids that once the parents have gone they will just put the whole lot into skips as they have no interest in it whatsoever,charming....

You are young so will have many many happy years in which to enjoy your chrystal collection...

Ha ha ha Tina your a sweetie....I actually hit the big 6 0 this year, but I dont feel it. Rays son reckons hes gonna sell the lot and have a holiday on it, and mine reckon that this lot means more dusting...no thankyou. Kids...huh

As long as you enjoy your crystals then it doesn't matter what the youngsters think.My mum had a few pieces and when she passed away her Grand Daughters had the pieces to remember her by.A friend of mine has a collection and she keeps hers in a glass display unit which looks like where you have yours displayed...

Lovely collection Milky. Well said Toto, as long as my kids and Grandchildren remember us affectionately they can do what they want with the few possessions we have (all the money goes on the garden) oh and my iPod of course which they would love to get their hands on....... lol

Ipod indeed Dotty.....I have just about learned to make my way around this let alone an ipod...........

Such a nice collection! I have a little bear my sister gave me ages ago but that's it.
