Thanks! This was back in early May - I've been reviewing our garden photos today as a way of cheering myself that the mess that is currnetly our 'garden' will, one day, look lovely again. This is one of those and on finding this website, I've been enjoying getting some of the pics out here. I've another acer palmatum - bigger, and in the ground rather than a pot (which this one is for now).

What a fabulous photo - when did you take it? I've got two Acers, both 'purpureas'. The leaves have all dropped off now, though.
