Thanks for your comments,really appreciated...Ive bought more plants ! I can't help it :). A lovely red Daliah, only one because a bit expenive IMO,£5.99. and a yellow Canna,( I have an orange one,) Half price at peter barrats £2.00.. The border needs colour, I have a red clematis and a lovely hot morning glory climbing up the fence, but there taking ages to flower...Dee.

Are you able to grow everything through the winter ok are do you have to wrap the plants?
We get up to see my sister in Ashington but i find I need my coat and scarf these days, gone soft! Going to take her some plants in October.

Some will be fleeced Arlene, Its a first for the Banana and i have a chimney pot and straw for protection hehe saw it on TV...Some are still in pots Buried in the border, so ill lift them and put them in the greenhouse, and some ill leave to see what happens..Oh some are hardy so theyll be fine, wont stop me worrying tho..

Even down here in Swansea last winter we had -6.I was out I there wrapping everything in sight in white and green fleece,I got some heavy weight stuff from ebay.I have a lot of stuff that's tender so will be watching the weather reports and doing a bit of worrying!I lost my orange tree that I had for 20 odd years last year.
