Like the Red Admiral I'm sure this guy was stirred out of his winter slumbers by the warm sunshine we had today. The beginning of Spring? I hope so!!

Let's hope there's not the 'sting in the tail' (forgive the pun) of last year. I remember in late Feb/ early March having a mild spell and seeing hundreds of mating pairs of Ladybirds and I predicted a good year for Ladybirds but, then the cold April, May and June came and we saw very few Ladybirds here last summer!
