Iris reticulata peeking through

Iris reticulata peeking through

These are just poking through. I bought the very dry corms end of November [1/2 price] and couldnt get them directly in the ground. So looks like I might have been lucky.

Lovely plants, but irresistible to mice ,it seems.I have lost all mine along with most of the hundreds of snowdrops I've planted in my garden over the nearl 10 years I'vee been here!Hope yours don't suffer the same fate!!

I have found they have a preference for crocuses. the ones in the ground are well buried and so far so good. I seem to have more and more snowdrops every year. I guess you are just unlucky Paul. Squirrels are more of a pest in my garden.

Haven't had squirrels for years, but, yes mice are a real problem,in the house, eating and ruining everything in my potting shed and garage and in the garden! That's what you get for living close to farmland, I suppose!

I am also backing on to farmland. at least its mice not their larger cousins! Not had the mice indoors for many years thankfully.

That's so nice to see ! we had mice when we had our cat Marmy ,she use to bring them in , she would play with them ,I found one in the bath once with her peering over the top watching it ! she brought a baby rabbit in once it was hiding in a gap at the back of a cupboard she was trying to reach it with her paw,I nearly had a fit I thought it was a rat !!
