My Thai Dwarf Papaya, which isn't so dwarfish, is producing small papayas. For some reason this papaya plant doesn't produce fruit during summer, it always waits until Fall. Photo taken Oct. 15, 2012.

Yes, they are yummy when they ripen.

To my untrained eye it looks far from dwarfish too!

Meanie:
The plant is suppose to be a dwarf. However, it's probably 13ft (4m) tall. The fruit is very large to 2ft (61cm) long. The longest fruit on this plant is already 1ft (30cm) long.

That's not a Papaya fruit, it's a marrow!

Yes, it's a papaya. Many papaya varieties in the tropics can get much larger. They're like a watermelon on a tree. lol! :>)

The meaning "dwarf" on certain plant are not absolute. I've seen many "dwarf" plants/trees become very large.
