Love it! Cinders that path just leads you on. what is round the corner?;0)

Thanks PP. Its steps down to my lower garden where the rockery is, and the seating area and Heuchera bed, plus the veg patch.

Ah! English gardens! Nothing to beat them. Hard work, though. Feeling very nostalgic.

Your garden looks so summery still. I am so envious.....

22 Sep, 2012

Are you really Hb.... hope it lasts.

22 Sep, 2012

I certainly am. The bits of colour in my garden are so spread about it's hard to see any. If anything, this year has taught me to clump plants together rather than spreading them out.

22 Sep, 2012

Well my garden is quite small really. I think it looks bigger on photos than it really is. So everything is closer together of necessity. Probably too much in it as well.!!

22 Sep, 2012

Sounds very enticing Cinders perhaps more pics of the Rockery, seating area and Heuchera bed;0)

22 Sep, 2012

Done.

23 Sep, 2012

It's not only colourful, but neat too Cinders. I wish mine was neat, I've fallen behind a bit ....so much tidying to catch up on and tulips to plant which I bought yesterday:-)

23 Sep, 2012

Thanks Ba. I haven't bought any new bulbs to plant this year, and have dug out some of the old ones, so I really ought to get some. Going away for a few days tomorrow, so it won't get done for another week at least.

23 Sep, 2012

BA, I have bought loads of tulip bulbs, but was advised not to plant them for at least another month yet. What's the expert advice on this? What would happen if I planted them now? (Not that I have any tubs and planters free of summer bedding yet). Anyone?

24 Sep, 2012

Gorgeous. Sooo much colour.

24 Sep, 2012

Gattina, as a tulip expert ahem ...... I heard on Gardeners Worls that here in Britain we can plant now, the sooner the better, but no idea about Italy. Hope this helps lol:-)

25 Sep, 2012

From what you say, it would probably be ok, BA, and it would be good to get them all done before the weather changes, which can happen very, very suddenly round here, but I'm a bit worried, because everything seems to think it's spring already, and all the hyacinths, muscari, etc., are already popping up, and next year's annuals from this year's seeding have got flower buds on. The seasons have gone mad! If we get winter temperatures as bad as last year's were, we could lose the lot. Maybe I could plant half of the tulips, and in a month or two's time try to remember where I've put them all and plant the second half. What do you think? I think it's called hedging one's bets!

Still looking the biz Sylvia....no surprise there lol.....

Enjoy your break away x

We had two more days away when I had to see the Surgeon...
(he was pleased) with the progress...We went to a Campsite near to the Clinic, and made a relaxed time of it....

26 Sep, 2012

Thanks Sue, good idea to stay near the Clinic, pleased all is going well. Just home, after a very wet week away, but enjoyed the break.

29 Sep, 2012

Hi Sylvia, aww shame about the weather, we've had wall to wall Sunshine here, and getting lots done...
