Sorry it took so long to reply.I had a hard time finding my book, ' Wild flowers of North Carolina'. It's a Catesby's trillium. The blooms range in color from white to dark pink, and every shade in between. I prefered the 'in betweens' and transplanted a few into the garden.

really pretty...and slightly different from our northern trillium.
