Ah, I had a look at your early photos DA and see the size of the pond!! Wonderful! I think a pond that size manages itself better than a small one and you don't get so much algae. Lucky lucky you!! :))....enjoy!!

Thanks Karen. It does keep quite clear and the lily pads help. :-)

Aaah lucky you Dawn, we had one lone frog who was getting a bit frisky with the goldfish, but they were too fast for him, lol, spent a few days making rather load noises calling for a mate, then disappeared, we have got newts though don't know where they came from or how they survive with the goldfish in the pond, must be good at hiding :-)

I hope so Amy.
Oh Kathy, how funny, a frog after the fish. We have newts too, I dont know where ours appeared from either but the more the merrier.

You need to be careful if you have frogs in your fishpond. They are known to drown the fish. I noticed one of my fish at the bottom of my pond, and when I investigated there was a frog wrapped round it.holding it down. It says in a wildlife book that this is what frogs do when they mate but sometimes they happen to mistake the moving fish for another frog, and they land up drowning them. The good thing was I noticed mine intime and netted it out in time to save it. :o))

Hello Lin, I've never heard of that, thanks. I dont have fish though, well only tiny minnows.
