I thought about that, David, but she seems comfortable and had a bit of a struggle to get this far... I prune my spirea back to the ground every spring so I think I'll just leave her where she is happy...besides she makes a pair of ordinary wooden steps kind of interesting, I think.

Probably a good idea, Lori, and I also like the idea of the foliage softening the edges of the wooden steps.
