Lupin Gallery White periennial

I have grown Lupins from seed for the last two years, but they have always been devoured by snails This one is further on than any I have grown for this time of the year, so hopefully this may stand a chance watch this space!

I've grown some from seed this year but the ones in the garden last year have re-emerged, much to my surprise. So far no slug or snail attacks but I am keeping watch :) You have certainly had a good shopping session.

Lupins.... how I wish they did well here. I've had successive failures! lol....can't blame snails tho... The poor things don't like my garden,... they rarely last more than two years even if I let them go to seed.

Thats a shame Lori I wonder why? frustrating when most people grow them in abundance!, mine main problem with them is snails, but Im going to try Gees suggestion of copper wire!

30 Mar, 2010

Yes...that's good advice from what I've read they don't like to cross copper, have seen pics of special planters with copper sheeting around the rim...
