Wintry Scene

oh no carole, it stopped here at lunchtime and hasnt strated again yet, ive cleared driveway and hope no more falls tonight, keep safe x

like you its been snowing all day, we are now completely stranded in our home, had about nine inches of snow today and its still coming down.

Definitely in for the long haul.Snowing on and off all day here and now it is freezing.Shops ran out of salt ages ago and even that gritty cat litter they are suggesting as a substitute has been depleted !

Thanks to everyone for your kind comments, we all seem to be in the same boat! dreading to think what the road and pavements are going to be like tomorrow, as its below freezing now, but surely it can't last much longer ;0(

Yes we are having it all week just been on news south will get it worse comming from siberia russia like I said last week I knew it as I remember last year it was from there different kind of cold to normal that I remember

Hope you cope ok, perhaps if you need any thing to order off line and let them deliver or phone local shop as them to deliver what you need.

Thanks Sixpence and Grindle, we are managing to keep warm but you can't order on line until Saturday as all side roads are blocked and slots for Thurs/Fri are all booked up, but luckily we have enough food and drink to last us , and there isnt any more snow forecast for our area just freezing, hope its better where you are!

At least they will eventually deliver pleased to hear you have enough in to last, this is where I miss a milkman delivering to the door, as they use to sell eggs etc too, will have to look out for him.

Thanks Sixpence, All the neighboughs in our road cleared the snow away to day, so we can now get out, Ive just posted a blog about it. Yes as you say there is lots of benefits in having a Milkman especially at times like this, take care.

Carole alot of ours as gone but its thawing in day but freezing at night the paths are like sheets of glass.

You stay indoors Carol dont risk slipping, the roads and pavements here are treacherous too been waiting for furniture deliveries but keep getting emails to say they cant get through due to wether conditions, grim isnt it!
