Woodpecker visits

Lovely visitor, well done on getting the photo. I stood in my garden, camera in hand, listening to a woodpecker the other day but just couldn't see where he was - very frustrating :)

Gee I took this through the window. He would have gone if I made the slightest move, as it was he flew away just after I clicked!

How awesome! We had woodpeckers visiting our feeders quite often last summer! Check out the photo of our woodpecker that I shot last summer:

A cardinal and a woodpecker were both feeding on one of my birdbaths at the same time. ;-)

Looked at your picture N2....good shot as well.

I put a new fat ball out, with the net removed and in a holder this time. The woodpecker has been back, so worth it! Have also seen blue and coal tits on it.
