Had to share this with you this morning. We set off earlier than usual today for our lake walk in order to arrive home after a quick coffee for the 2 minute Remembrance .This didn’t work out as expected…it was quite full and understandably the service was a little slow.
At around 10.50 the usual background music suddenly changed to a rather loud radio transmission. On the dot of 11.0 the 2 minute silence was announced and everyone adhered to it except for one rather large dog who started a tirade of high wailing.!!
It was rather comical as the atmosphere was so serious. The owner apologised afterwards for which there was no need.
I’m pleased the staff observed it.I wonder how many establishments followed suit.

I think the dog was joining in with the service and as he couldn't be silent decided to show his feelings by wailing! lol

The dog probably picked up on the atmosphere. Similar happened at the cafe where we were on Saturday and then at another one yesterday. My daughter's dog 'grumbled' when we all fell silent as it is not usual when we are all together.

Someone or something always have to give the "note"! 😆
This morning at church during the service & the 2 minutes silence most of the children were very quiet - which impressed me! (I'm now going to another church with LOTS of very young families!)
