well what a wonderful day it was today, especially for mid october. I took advantage and jet washed the grimey paths around the pond and down the side of the border. Also managed to plant my cherry tree and build up the little tykes playhouse for my boys. Finally finished by putting teak oil on the patio furniture….....
Checked up on my autumn onion sets I planted a couple of weeks ago and am pleased to say they are sprouting as I suspected that the squirrels had dug them up , however no sign yet of the turnips I sowed at the same time…..
I’ve packed the greenhouse with fushia and geranium cuttings and sowed some sweetpeas too. Hopefully they take so I have some to put in my hanging baskets for next spring.
In all a very productive day….

Glad you had a good day.
I always sew some seeds in the autumn too.
All the best, Hywel.
