Although this year’s weather has not the best ever, we have all achieved something nice in our gardens, going by the pictures we’ve all posted. I must say, it has been a great year for ferns and any green foilage plants.

God Bless, and Merry Christmas To You All :-)

Louis:

Happy Holidays to you! :>)

Can't agree with you about the summer here, though. We've had one the hottest summers (many days and nights were unbearably hot!) in a long time...and the weather here in San Diego, CA. is still very mild and warm...the nights and mornings have been especially warm.

Cute photo, Louis, is it you? :))
That was fitting comment to British isles summer. Yes, each bad thing is good for something. If not roses, then ferns, lol. Love that comment :))
We had summer which was more prone to that in the garden of Eden - sunny and hot. My olive tree and figs grew buoyantly. But ferns did moderately.
Unfortunately, the end of the year took all the garden charm off.
I wish you all the best and Merry Christmas, too. If you have a nice Christmas decoration on your olive tree, as you had last year, please, share it with us.

Merry Christmas from me too. My daughter, partner and I spent yesterday Christmas shopping in Milton Keynes, woke up to snow everywhere so the mood was right. Still letters and cards to write and post, wrapping to do, decorations to put up and stockings to fill ..... 'tis the season to be frazzled, as my daughter says. Have fun everyone!

Yup, ferns and trees and shrubs have all done well this year Louis. There's always a silver lining! Have a great time in Gibraltar and Happy Christmas to you. :)

Thank you Katrina, Xela, Junna and Karensusan6..... :-)

Katrina ... I have wrapped the olive trees with fleece as it's going to be very cold indeed. I don't want the frost to get to them.

Xela ... We also had some snow here in Northamptonshire. I sometimes go to Milton Keynes as it's not that far from us. We've done all our xmas shopping, and tomorrow morning, we will be off for a warm holiday. I bet we will feel the cold, when we come back from Gibraltar lol !!!

Junna ... Hope everything is well with you.

Karensusan6 ... So pleased the ferns did so well, as I have loads of them...Very much so, "There's always a silver lining" :-)
