The pumpkin no one wanted..

Hi Folks,
here are the pumpkins from our allotment..not as many as last year but enough for my grandchildren for halloween..

plus some small squashes grown in & around the sweetcorn..

biggest one went first..taken by Ella & Sam..“we dont want the one without a stalk..thank you Nana”..

All were taken in the last few days..except this poor one no one wanted..not even as a spare..
.ahhh …


I could not let it go to waste now could I..lol

And he now has a stalk..

Hi San, i think it was because ..if you slice the top off to make a lantern ..you would use the stalk as a handle to lift the lid...:o))
