Getting ready for spring

The snow has hit Orkney with a vengeance. after seeing it hitting England on the telly the bad weather finally reached us here. we have been snowed in for 5 days now. The norm here is two or three days snow per winter, but it is an exceptional winter this year.
Being stuck in the house I looked through my garden catalogues and it wasn’t long before I got down to ordering plants from here there and everywhere. I have ordered about fourty different varieties of fuchsias. Two cherry trees, two apple trees plus various other plants. My wallet hurts now.
before the snow I planted over 100 mixed tulips all bought at bargain price as our local woolworths was closing down.
I have also ordered some goji berry plants. if anyone has grown these i would like to hear how well they have grown. My brother used to grow them in liecester but lost them when the summer was too wet a couple of years ago. from what I ve read they dont like boggy ground but are otherwise very hardy
I cant wait to see all thhe new colours in thee garden in spring, so lets hope the weather is better this year

Wow, you've ordered a lot of plants!
Exciting for you, if not for your wallet. Lol.
I hope you won't be snowed in for too long.

I've even RECEIVED my first order, Islander! I was so lucky - the courier delived the big box of plant the day before we got snowed in!

I hope yours doesn't last too long. I'm sorry I don't know anything about Goji berries. :-(

snow is melting now, I managed to get into town, While the wife was shopping i went to the garden centre and found a few more fuchsias to add to my collection. Cant resist buying them. all the windows sills in the houseare full of pots of fuchsia cuttings, guess I need a poly-tunnel soon. I'm older too Steve, used to love the snow but not anymore.
