A busy few days

I have just had the busiest week at home and at work since the summer holidays and I am cream crackered! Anyway, the side path is done barring 3 more bags of slate, 2 pieces of log edging, 6 lavender and a Jasmine nudiflorum to plant. About 30 minutes work, but finding the time is another matter…..
My Hedychium has flowered: I am not sure if I am a little disappointed with the flower spike or not. I should be thankful it came through last winter, so maybe next year it will do better. I will post a photo during the week.
I have nearly finished a poem about frost so that will get its first airing here during the week as well. Just got to finish planting up my second raised bed and that will be another job out of the way, then there is the fence and trellising to paint and put up, the remainder of the borders to re-arrange, soil up and re-plant and if there is enough time (and money!) get the block paving done round the side.
See you soon!
Just changed my avatar picture to a snap I took at Morar sands whilst on holiday in Scotland. It looks almost tropical!

It was about 14c today, cloudy and damp. My next day off is Wednesday so I will be trying to get some jobs finished off. I will have a look at some frost photos: I love snow and frost but not what they do to my plants!

Whew....that's a lot of work for you! and more to come this week....you must feel better getting these jobs out of the way, GD.

I'm off to take a peek at the frost and snow piccies on GOY....I don't much like that kind of weather but it's just fine in pictures! lol

No, but I will!
I can't wait for winter and all that lovely snow! Oh, to be cut off for a few days...

I do feel great when I have finished a job, especially when my wife or kiddies say how nice it looks. But then I start to find fault with it and I get restless and think about changes etc.
Anyway, I am off for a sleep but I will leave you with another daft poem of mine about a snail!

BACK ACHE!

I travel around, on my back is my house,
Sliming slowly along, quieter than a mouse.

Eating for free, wherever I like,
Avoiding the birds and the man on the bike.

My existence is miserable, boring and slow,
And it never improves wherever I go.

I’m really fed up with this weight that I lug,
Why oh why, cant I be a slug!

Love the poem, but I should think it ought to be you with the back ache after all that work.
