When I visit peoples gardens I love looking at their 'working' area to see all those cuttings and seeds coming along.Nosey possibly, but interesting all the same!!

Thanks all, I love Fuchsias....and these are all cuttings from last year...I call them my recycling bit. Not quite sure what I shall do with them all though..............Chloris I dont think your nosey....thats just what plant lovers do.............

Milky, the trouble with raising plants is that it becomes addictive. You end up with so many of them that a way has to be found to either give them away or sell them.

I think that I will have to be ruthless this year Chloris, and give a lot away. Otherwise "sleeping partner" commanly known as other half will just keep on moaning about all the pots down the paths......which I totally ignore anyway he he he .....

Well Milky, you know that thing us ladies do when we buy something new when the budget doesn't allow and when he says 'is that new dear?' and we say 'what this old thing?', that is exactly what I find myself doing with a new plant....there's always room for one more (or two!).

my sentiments exactly Chloris he he............

hi milky do you have to put fushia in the greenhouse if there in hanging baskets over the winter months

22 Feb, 2009

Well........after the winter we have just had Juliano.........If they have been in an exposed site, they may not start to reshoot Try scraping the stem base with a fingernail.....If its green underneath then it is still with us.........I usually take cuttings and overwinter them so I have fresh fuchsias for my baskets as they are not usually hardy
