That is beautiful. Saw one in a friends garden recently and was amazed by it. Mine is in a pot and always looks a bit sorry for itself. Should I free it, do you think?

I don,t know much about them Gee , this one did much better once it was out of a pot , this is the first time it,s had a flower on it , it is huge and STINKS .. really .. It,s a horrible smell ! we do a detour round .... LOL ............

Didnt realize they smelt that bad Amy - they flower on sea front but breeze must take aroma out to sea ..

They might be higher up BB , this flower is quite low almost head level ..
I love the flower .. it is beautiful .........

Certainly beautiful Amy and for a long time thought they died after flowering - think this a myth though as ones on sea front been there years and flowered several times .

I,ve been told that after the flower they have seeds which the birds love , that would be a bonus BB

I m sure they would Amy but they are huge seeds ..lol perhaps best enjoyed by tall birds with long necks ?

Apparently they set seed quite easily if you collect them .. hope yours isnt too tall ..

It,s about 8ft tall BB , but the flower is only about half way up , no sorry 5ft 4" level with my nose ... LOL...
