they dont like having snow on them for days on end...they look soo sad when all their leaves flop down...i do feel so lucky that mine survived..;-)

I'm surprised it does survive snow at all. I know it's hardy to very cold temps, though. It grows in the foothills of the Sierra Mountain Range here in CA.
