Not a great year roll on 2016

Our new bathroom put in to help my son in Jan 2013 has leaked in three places since the day it was finished.
The beginning of July we discovered horrendous hidden water damage the outcome was lots of new plaster 1/2 way up many walls, 2 new ceilings, 1 new concrete floor a complete new kitchen, renewed bathroom and complete refurbishment of hall stairs and landing first though awful humidifiers for weeks to dry it all out before work could begin.
I my not have the new carpets yet but the bathroom and kitchen are now finished for Christmas. The good news is the insurers say it is all recoverable from the original bathroom installers and I will get my excess back and the premiums will not rise.

In the middle of this we lost our beloved cat Guy after 15 years.

Then I found the pain in my foot was due to a fracture and have to wear a boot up to my knee for 8 weeks.
This morning I had my 2 yearly endoscopy and had to wait 3 hours to get started.
For an unexplained pain in my side I am having a CT scan on Wednesday and an told it will be 3-4 hours in total and I will also need a bone scan in January to check if my fracture is bone thinning.
Then today my daughter had to see her cardiologist because she has been fainting again and he has done several more tests. It is such a worry as she has no warning and her heart just stops, lets hope there is a better solution for her than her present treatment.
So roll on 2016 and may it bring us better tidings.
Wishing you all a Happy Christmas and a great new year, Denise x

Thank you all so much for your kind comments, Just get the scan over tomorrow then I can concentrate on the cooking I am balancing very well on my boot most of the time though I do find it funny when I fall over my feet and look as if I am going over but so far I havent lol.

Action stations Denise.
1. Cut out all animal fats. Dont watch T/V chefs with their lumps of best butter in cooking. Platelets block the heart tubes, causes strokes. Dont wait to be put on Warfarin to thin your blood, do it yourself by eliminating the fats in every meal starting now, not after Christmas.

2. Tell your daughter to ask her GP if she can go on the
5 year course of Alendronic Acid/Calcium. It stops the bones deteriorating, makes them naturally stronger, stops the falls. Her GP should send her for a blood test and put her on this course as a result of the results. I am just into my 3rd year. Havent had a fall since I started on AA.

Something I found out years ago was that trouble has an infinite imagination and that good likes to play hide and seek. You WiLL have a good 2016, I know you will:)

Good grief Denise you have been through the wringer. On a positive spin you've got your house redecorated at someone else's expense.

I am sorry to read of the events that have happened during the year for you ... I must say we have had a pretty poor year too ... roll on 2016. :o))

My sister in law's GP put her on Warfarin. I sent a frantic message down to her (in Someset) to stop all the animal fats in food. She sent me a note back saying she grew up on a farm and have always eaten 'good' food and she was
not buying (what she called) 'cartgrease'.
The next day she collapsed and died in the garden. Heart
blocked with platelets caused by animal fats.
Stopped.

There is no getting away from it.....life is one big wonderful mess and the happiest people on earth are those who came to love all their problems. Not too many of them exist but they are out there somewhere.
