I miss Toby and Alys Fowler so haven't been watching it this season, but love the first picture. I'd love a shed/garden house like that with lots of Foxgloves in front of it.

Hi All, glad you enjoyed the pics. It was a nice day out. The plant stalls were a bit disappointing, quite alot of repetition and a bit pricey but it was a great day.

I've got it on Sky+ to watch over the weekend...I've been frantically trying to catch up on GoY so opted for viewing some comments and blogs/photos tonight! Still have a lot more to look at but my eyes are bugging out...lol

Your day sounds very nice and I, like many others, really like the little hobbit cottage in your first photo...can just picture that in a woodland setting (maybe your garden, Dawn???).

Just saw it on iplayer, Dawn, and a bit jealous now. I never get the really arty gardens, but love the cottage type ones. Would have spent all my holiday pennies with no room to spare in my garden, though. Did you spot yourself on the program tonight?

Hi Holly, I donated 3 clematis I've grown from seed, all proceeds go to Children In Need. Just after I handed them over we were cleared out of tne marquee to Carol Klein could be filmed in there, when we went back later, nothing worth buying.
I didnt buy anything, there was nothing I really wanted. There were lovely roses but didnt want to impulse buy without doing my research.
Oh Whiston, that little hut would look great in my woodland.

I went there on Friday and had a great day - lovely pics Dawnsaunt. Weren't the scents in the Floral Marquee gorgeous!!!!
We went back in towards closing time as it was nice and empty and just marvelled at the beautiful stands and the scents were to die for.

I went on Friday too, had a great time, felt the same as you Dawnsaunt about the plant stalls but floral marquee quite good, again similar to you, like to do a bit of research before buying, but did buy a few things, you've got to havent you!!!, will do a blog soon :^)

ahh thats a shame you got shoved out... i think i would probably have bought something, im a it of an impulse buyer...lol

Hi Annelise, yes we went back into the marquee after loooking at the gardens outside and the aroma from the lilies was so strong.
Hi Daylily, the tall white agapanthus seemed very popular, lots of those being carried around and Erygium.

Ann/Daylily: did you venture into The Good Food Guide. We had a great time sampling foods and drinks, then later had a glass of champagne with a garden furniture salesman, lol.

Hi dawnsaunt, yes i bought my mom one of the tall agapanthus blue one because she lost hers this year, the programme started off with people carrying those! We also did the Good Food Show, got some jamaican sauces and other hot chilli dips, missed the champers though!!

Lovely photos dawns aunt, the celebs were certainly out in force the day you went. I loved it all but the weren't many outside stalls which surprised me. Did you see the flowers that opened out in the tea?

No, not many stalls outside, was expecting to go there and to be able to buy everthing and anything to do with gardening.

you just never know with these shows, but the show gardens were better than i expected, so i was happy.

Malvern had few stalls too compared with last year too, sign of the times, hardly bought much there, still enjoyed it though:-) I love the begonias, thought they were brunneras and heucheras at first! What a lot of tv personalities, did you see any Goyers?:-))

It was a great day in good company.
No Bornagain, didnt see any otner Goyers, how great would that have been.

I've emailed 'comment' to see if we could have a Garden Show diary page where GOY gatherings could be arranged. Don't know if it would work, but worth a go:-)
