We had intended going to the garden on Friday but it was raining, no good planting spuds in the rain, so today was the day.

It was raining when we got up by the time we had our breakfast it had stopped, so off we went. We had trays of brusserls, cabbage, cauliflower, calebreses, lettuce and climbing beans to take.

I left OH planting spuds whilst I nipped down to Asda to fill up the car.

When I got back I planted lettuce in the poly tunnel. pricked out peppers and aubergine and potted them on, helped OH move the scaffold bords that J had found for us. Watered and pulled rhubarb. I have left the plants in the poly tunnel for a few days, once we have the rest of the spuds in I can plant the rest of the stuff out and net it to keep the pigeons off.

The strawberries are flowering, fingers crossed we do not get a frost!!

The greenhouse smelt wonderful the jasmine is out, the scent was heady as the wind blew through the vents. i want to take some cuttings later when the flowers have gone and see if I can strike them for the house.

1 & 2 Jasmine. 3 Poly tunnel. 4. Potato planter. 5 The white Camellia by the gate into the main garden. 6 The potentilla.

Gosh, if my garden was as neat and organised as that I'd be taking photos all the time! You deserve a nice rest now.

You two have been busy. I can feel how happy you are in your new private heaven. The flowers are all lovely. I particularly like the white camellia. I'm not so fond of the jasmine. The smell can be a bit overpowering and there are an awful lot of flowers on that plant.

It all looks so neat! You've put in the hard work, so now you can sit back & reap the rewards over the weeks ahead. The jasmine is lovely. fingers crossed for those strawberries.

Crikey what a productive garden you have there! you have so many tomatoes already planted in your polytunnel, are you feeding the whole neighbourhood, or perhaps you sell them? Ill be coming to visit when the strawberries are in fruit! lol. btw I love your jasmine, I bet it smells heavenly.
