10 Spring Shows

Some of you have been kind enough to admire the plants that I grow and have shown on this blog site. This is the time of year when the spring flower shows are in full swing and you may like to consider going to one. In addition to a wonderful display of plants there are also very yummy sales tables offering plants that are different to what is generally available from the garden centres. The shows are mostly put on by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS), Alpine Garden Club (AGS) and the SRGC. The information I have is mostly for the northern shows but shows take place all across the country and those in the south should be able to find something local. Dates that I have are:

Sat 21 March somewhere in Kent-I can find out more if anyone wishes
Sat 21 March Whitworth, Lancs, these two are AGS
Sat 21 March Dunblane, Stirling, SRGC
Sat 28 March Hexam, AGS
Sat 4 April Edinburgh, SRGC
Sat18 April Perth, SRGC
Sat 2 May Glasgow, SRGC
Sat 16 May Aberdeen, SRGC
W/E of 30 May Gardening Scotland, Caledonian Society – Scotlands ‘Chelsea’
Sat 10 October Newcastle(at Ponteland) SRGC

As a general rule the shows open to the public at 12 noon although there can be local variations. In some cases the plant sales are in a different room to the show hall and often open at 10am. If anyone wants more info on any of these shows please pm me and I will do what I can.
I will be at most of the SRGC shows and Gardening Scotland. If you come along please look for the guy selling books – that should be me!

Aw, thanks for the info. I'd come if I could, but I live toooooo far away, especially as I can't sit for more than 1/2 an hour at a time! Eeek! Good luck!
