Chocolate cake

Here is the recipe for the chocolate cake

7ozs S.R. flour
8ozs Caster sugar
1/2 tsp salt (optional)
1oz Cocoa
4ozs Margarine
2 eggs beaten with
5 tablespoons Evaporated milk and 5 tablespoons water
1tsp Vanilla extract

Sieve flour,sugar,salt and cocoa
Rub in Margarine
Stir in eggs,vanilla and liquids
Beat well

Grease and flour an 8” round or square deepish tin.
Bake cake 180c Gas no.4 for 30 – 35 mins.

Fudge Icing

8ozs Icing sugar
2 ozs Butter
1 bar chocolate ( I use Sainsburys belgian)
1 tsp Vanilla extract
Rest of evaporated milk

Melt chocolate and butter over hot water
Add milk, sugar and vanilla
Beat until smooth

Spread over cooled cake – decorate with Maltesers.

Me again , ive got a recipie for plum crumble ( got it from Garden News ) if anyone is needing to use up plums from the garden

Yum...yum Anita....this is very similar to my Chocolate brownie recipe....only you use a bar of chocolate for the topping...AND....Maltesers! May do this for my granddaughters, they'll think they're in heaven!....Lol!
