http://media.growsonyou.com/photos/photo/image/11836/main/MONDAY_14_APRIL_010.jpg! Definitely April showers today; managed to snatch 1/2 hr outside at lunch time. Planted my new red azaleas in the little wall “pots” in some ericaceous compost, they should look good when they get a bit bigger. Potted up my bargain buy “Skimmia Japonica” into a larger pot until I decide where to plant it. It already looks great just being in a bigger pot, £2.99 great value. I have posted some photos of above.
Got rained off then, but sunny now so when John gets home to take over toddler duties, I am going to try to get out and plant out my lovely red freesia & a white oriental poppy “Checkers” which I havent had before.
Enjoying a cuppa at the mo!

Look out for a little puzzler later!!!

The Freesia looks great. Glad you were able to get out even for just a bit. We had the April showers yesterday and I had to keep running back into the house while working on the pond everytime it stared to rain again. I should have waited until today as it's very sunny but I wanted to get it done. Love the coloring in the throat of the white poppy.

April showers ...... yes, we're getting a fair share of them too. On Monday they were light enough to work through, before lunch I dug over the patch where the beans and peas are going this year, and after lunch I prepared part of Paul's rose bed for new perennials to go in. Sunday was a different matter, the showers were hail, not so pleasant to work in.
