Jubilee Sunshine in the Garden*

  • A few more garden pictures taken Monday the 4th June. Rain forecast for the remainder of the week so got a little snap happy while the sun shone.

Starting with a few garden views

Looking up from the patio area

Taken from the lawn looking towards the pond.

Part of the left border, I took out the London Pride and Forget-me nots to allow other front of border plants room to grow.

Group of pots, so pleased with my sweet Peas now, they have really taken off!

Rockery just added more plants and its filling up nicely now.

The Iris looks so lovely lit up by the sun

Dipelta a lovely old shrub seldom seen these days, it belongs to the Weigelia family.

Alliums pushing up through the dense planting.

Welsh Poppies and London Pride make a pretty picture.

Allium closeup.

Thalictrum love the fluffy flowers and the pretty foliage [very similar to Aquilegia foliage]

Helichrisyum – Ruby Cluster a lovely plant with steely silver foliage and metalic rosy flower buds.

Pansy Pot

Dovey paying a quick visit for a fill up before joining Lovey back on the nest.

Sweet William in the front garden, strangely opened much earlier than those in the back borders.

Lambs Ears a favourite for its lovely velvety foliage.

Indian Star isnt it sooo pretty!

Mimulus

Fragaria Alpine Strawberry [lovely for front of the border plants]

So pleased I managed to take these pictures as the rain as arrived and looks like being around for next few days, so it pays to get out there while you can. Happy Viewing;0))

Beautiful garden PP, love the 3rd pic of your shrub border, beautiful contrasting colours and shapes. I like your pale coloured mimulus, did you grow them from seed? I could only find seed for mixed colours.
