A Cold Wet Windy Day in My Garden

Well after admiring Amy’s lovely picture I have braved the cold wind and threatening rain and taken a few pictures to show you.
So hope you will enjoy a little walk around the garden with me;0)

Up the steps passing Polly’s little resting place, [Polly was my much loved and missed Scottish Terrier some of you may remember her],[I gave my resident Robin a makeover last week to keep her company;0)
The dwarf Acer is looking at its best [one of my favourite plants!

The Rockery is also bursting into colour now, after the cold and wet winter, there is also another smart looking Robin standing guard [I have enjoyed myself giving this rather rusty looking chap a coat of paint too;0)

Moving on now to the pond area, I saw a frog here yesterday so fingers crossed we will have frog spawn like last year ;0)) Mmmm think that Duck could do with a make over lol

A close up now of Acer Palmatum Dissectrum its looking gorgeous in the sunshine!

The White Heather just gets better each year!

Lovely as always Carole, love to see your acers something I've never tried being in such a windy spot but last year I tried a couple at the entrance to our wood and pleased to say they're doing great ! I need more now lol, nice to see you back :-)

Yes Kathy, I am like you...exposed. But if you can give them a little shelter they do well.

Thank you for the tour - I don't remember seeing those shots before. Your acer is grand and haven't Pieris done well this year?

The robin looks very smart indeed but not very pleased - maybe the smell of paint disagrees with him...

Hello Carole, it's lovely to see your garden once again. You've done a great job with the Robin! Good that you have Frogspawn, ours has all disappeared and we think a bird or animal has eaten it all, yuk!

thanks of this, Pansypotter..i enjoy walking around gardens so much..a thing of the past in RL, so that makes these walks of private gardens special for me..you've inspired me to touch up some bluebirds Patrick gave me..they're too dark, don't show up well..well done with your garden..may i ask, how old is it?

23 May, 2016

Thank you Pat what your lovely comments, I couldn't resist giving the Robin a new coat of paint lol hope you have success with your Blue Birds ;0) we moved to the bungalow in 2008, there was just a exspanse of very weedy grass and a couple of trees but I didn't make the Pond and Rockery until 2012, Harry dug the pond out for me and also did all the lifting carrying the rocks for the Rockery;0))
