Let The Collection Commence" Thanks To Gee

*The Postman arrived this morning with a large parcel for me, so exciting! it was very nicely wrapped it seemed a shame to open it up. But excitement over took me and I very quickly had the box opened to find five small tubes also very carefully wrapped, so off with the wrappings and I gently lifted out each one to find Five different Heucheras sent to me very kindly from Gee;0))

I have been admiring other Goyers Heucheras plants for sometime now and I am delighted and very grateful to Gee for sharing some of hers with me!

Each Tube had the name on as follows, Purple Palace, Frosted Violet, Ginger Ale Ginger Peach and one Unknown.

For a change the sun was shining so I set to work planting my little collection, I decided to plant them all together in a large pot, so I could admire and keep a careful watch until they were ready to put in the borders, I planted my new Golden Thyme in the center to offset all the colours of the Heucheras. I am very pleased with the finished outcome!"

The view from the patio, Dont they look Great;0))

So a big Thank You again to Gee for her kindness!.
I would be interested from other Goy members of other suggestions I could look out for to add to my collection

That's so nice of Gee to send the Heucheras, Carole, and I love the way you've planted them in the pot. You can watch their progress easily from there. I have Heuchera Electra on my latest "Cabin Fever" blog .. that's a colour you don't seem to have yet...

Hello my name is Pansypotter and I am NOW a Heuchera addict :o) lol. No cure I am afraid just enjoy the addiction. lol. I love all the different colours and the way the leaves curl and twist. I am a little bit addicted to Hostas also. Trying to curb my habit but not doing that well trouble is I think being on this site just encourages all our addictions but eh ho who really worries about those kind of addictions anyway. lol. :o) Just enjoy your new plants we are always here to talk if you need to. lol.

They do look good potted up, Carole. I have several in pots as well as in the garden. They are all so attractive that I have become rather addicted too :)

That's brilliant! I really must have a look and see if I can split my Blackberry Jam and send you all a bit of them. They are stunning. I just haven't ever split one before so am a bit cautious about it. I think the cardboard tube idea is terrific...I shall definitely copy that idea! :))

Lovely gifts from Gee,Carole, and they look lovely in that pot..lucky lady :o)...and they don't take that long to grow into decent sized plants ..I wonder if the unknown one is Red Spangles..if that is the one with green foliage ? Just a thought..

I am afraid i am also becoming an addict for these due to being on here!! i will be bankrupt if i have to go and buy all these as well as all the work i still have to do!! the only thing i have plenty of is Sedum Spectabile and hardy geraniums!!

29 Apr, 2012

Sedums are wonderful just for foliage or flower, so hardy and easy to split.and Hardy Gerainiums a mainstay in any border , so you are off to a good start already, try to focus and start with perienials which are good value and hardy.
Good Luckand Happy Gardening;0)
