Five Days 'til Winter!

Lori

If you check the calendar, you will find that it is still autumn.

More moisture and the stream is running…

We’ve had a foot of snow…and it melted…

Now I’m shoveling snow again… second batch of snow in three days.

and it’s not even winter yet! Brrrr…..

Time to sit indoors and plan for next year… catch up on reading blogs on GoY… and, generally, take it easy. If I feel I need exercise there’s always snow shoveling!

So, my friends, with 2016 drawing to a close, It’s my wish that we all have better days ahead in ’17!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone!

Oh Lori - and I thought our cat was a bit pudgy! Yours obviously has the right idea of how to spend a snowy day!

Yes Lori, you are right. Winter starts Thursday I think. I wish the mild spell would end. I'm heart sick of the grey cloud. Ready for some more bright frosty days now! Never mind...wed. Is the shortest day, and then it will all be downhill on the light front at least...though not the weather front! 2 roses arrived this week, so I shall try to get them planted tomorrow. HAppy Christmas Lori!

Brrr!!!!... Looks very cold Lori but so much more like Christmas where you are, we have dark, grey days and soggy leaves, not a good sight.

Rufus is a lot like Cupcake..a good eater. Cupcake was born about twice as big around as his sister Donut. He's kept the difference.
ps,Keep in mind they were named by a 5 year old. Don't blame me...

Thanks everyone! Yes Hywel... Rufus loves to climb snowy trees and knock the stuff down on anyone below! he's a pill! Has a very thick coat that repels moisture and loves high places, does that sound familiar?
Yes, Stan, he is an excellent eater too! Nothing to chase just now...lots of snoozing and pats. Next spring he'll run it all off!

That's Cupcake. Somehow a kitten for a 5 year old and parents renting from us..is now our cat and this guy eats all night. 4-5 times a night you can hear him eating his kibbles.
Wouldn't you know it though,he's the super lovable one.
Merry Christmas Lori and family!
