When I was a little girl we went to stay with my grandparents every year for our holiday and my favourite childhood memories are of following my Grandpa round his beloved garden and being allowed to 'help' him. As I've got older I've grown to love my own garden more and more (yes, typical middle-aged English woman!) and am never happier than when pottering about outside. My garden isn't very big and I seem to make mistakes as often as I get things right, but thats all part of the fun. I do keep changing my mind though about what I want; until recently I just wanted lots of colour but last year I had a go at growing a few veg and that really inspired me! I'm currentlyspending a lot of time looking out of the window wondering where else I might squeeze in a few more veg
this year! I'm also trying to encourage more wildlife to visit (and I'm not talking about my teenage offspring's friends!)
