Father's day trip to Tenby

By Arlene

~ my daughter wanted to do something different for her dad so she took us to sample the fish and chips at Tenby which were very nice indeed! After that we had a wander around~ although overcast it was really mild.

the photo below is showing Caz and I in the old gateway~was once heavily fortified

photo below looking across to Caldey island where the monks make honey etc.

What a lovely way to celebrate Fathers Day..a change of scenery is so good from time to time.

~on the way home we encountered a tailback of what looked like miles of cars on the M4 ~we saw some cars peeling off and in a moment of recklessness decided to follow~we had a aloittle convoy of five cars and we went along tiny lanes and finally found ourselves back on the motorway ony about a couple of miles from Caz' home~it was fantastic as we hadn't a clue where we were for most of the time and probably wouldn't be able to do it again!
To complete his day she made Nigella Lawsons Ham in Coke for tea and we swung her 2 three seater settes in a line to watch a film projected on to her white lounge wall~whilst enjoying our chocolate gateau and cream dessert.
Lovely end to nice day out!

I love Tenby.
I hate motorways. I never go on them. It takes longer but I don't care :o)
