A week on the Brecon Canal

Thank you for sharing your delightful holiday with us Chris. The scenery looks perfect! I’ve always fancied a canal trip but OH won’t be persuaded. Lovely to see you both looking happy 🙂.

Chris I have wanted to do this too but OH is vehemently opposed, I don' t know why. I have a cousin who lived on the canals for years. I tried to get OH interested in a holiday like that but he wasn't having any...

Stera and Sheila get to work on your husbands. To be honest we weren’t really looking forward to the holiday very much but we both really loved it and found it so very relaxing - you don’t want too many locks though!!

It really was an escape from everyday life - no TV signal, no Wi-Fi, no radio!!!

Ange - it was so peaceful and the pace of it all was very slow indeed.

Very interesting to see this canal holiday, Chris! I have never been on a canal but it sounds good, apart from the tranquillity I don't know if my wife would like it. Perhaps she would as she often talks about escaping from our life here & going to live in a convent! 😆

Klahanie it was a true escape holiday and the pace of it suited me very well but it could all be too slowly w for some people.

Balcony take her on a canal holiday instead - much nicer than the strict regime of a convent!!!

Kate I was really surprised how much I enjoyed it and even enjoyed making the coffee in the morning and waiting for the old fashioned kettle to whistle to me !!!

Chris, thank you so much for sharing your wonderful holiday photos. The scenery is fabulous but I'm sure a canal boat holiday would terrify me ... I like my feet on terra firma!

Thank you Shirley we really did love that holiday but quite understand it is not for everyone!! At least a canal is nice and calm!!
