A sunny day in June.

It has been a lovely day in Devon today, sunny but not too hot, just how I like it!
The roses are now giving the garden lots of scent and colour.

Here is a general view of the garden.

This is our new hive of bees. They arrived in a box with the postman on Thursday!

Our wild flower patch is growing just in front of the bees.

This very old red rose was growing in this spot when we moved in 40 years ago.

Last of all I want to take you back to Surrey as I have a nice photo of our two little grand daughters smelling the peonies at Penshurst House!

I bought some peonies as ours haven’t done very well. Lots of leaves but not many flowers!

I might change my profile picture next as I do love peonies!

What absolute beauties! I was talking about your granddaughters, but the roses are also beautiful too.
I'm glad you've got the bees again. I'm sure they will reward you with some delicious honey!

Meadowland, thank you - you would be very welcome indeed to share a cream tea with me at any time!
Waddy, my husband is so pleased to have bees in the garden again. Hope they are nice and gentle! It is lovely being grand parents!

A lovely blog Chris with lots of nice roses, and the bees will enjoy the wild flowers I'm sure.

Your roses and your garden is beautiful Chris, and your grandaughters are so cute! It will be lovely to be watching and listening to the bees hovering around your roses.
I too would love to sit in your garden and have a cuppa and a scone with cream and jam too! I just wish you didn't live so far away!

I wish we lived closer too. Maybe one day Rose we can meet up somewhere. It would be a lovely thing to look forward to.

Thanks Rose.
Lots of sunshine but quite a cool north westerly breeze so far with rain on the way.
