Lovely.....reminds me of when my boys were young.my wife always put plastic bags over their gloves to keep their hands dry!We do laugh when we look at the photos...hilarious.Practical, I suppose, but looks ridiculous!!!

I remember mum doing similar things with us as kids, Paul..and the plastic bags on our feet, inside our wellies to try and keep feet warm and dry when the snow went down the tops.
We lived high on the Pennines in the Big Freeze of '63 and missed school for nearly 6 weeks...bliss for us, but NOT for mum!

I'm saving all pics of her as she grows up Pansy for just that reason.

There were tears this morning Hywel when she couldn't 'go park' but had to go to nursery instead. Her mum's a district nurse, so very busy right now.

I remember going to school(I'd just started ) in '63 Waddy and the snow going over the tops of my wellies!

Oh, I'm a bit older than you I'd be in my last year of junior school, year 6 they call it now a days. Over night the drifts covered the front of our cottage until the only way out was through the bedroom windows!

Oh blimey.It was bad but not that bad here!!!!
